Firefox-3-5A new update for Firefox has now arrived and is ready for download. Firefox 3.5 now supports private browsing as well as geo location features to name a few updates.

Other features include the Tracemonkey Javascript engine which is quicker then the previous version making java script heavy pages load quicker. Google Docs for example, should load a lot quicker then previous versions of the Firefox browser.

HTML 5 tags are also included which allow video and audio to be played natively without needing to install extra plugins. Formats supported in HTML 5 are Ogg Theora on the video side of things and Ogg Vorbis for audio.

Teknobites have a list of all features and it’s well worth checking out as there is some good stuff in there. Just be warned that all your plugins might not work though and you may need to check for updates to those said plugins if they do have issues. If you are using reputable plugins though then there is a chance that they might already be updated.
