It wasn’t that long ago that we mentioned that Google had launched Chrome 2. We now hear from the google blog that the next version, Chrome 3 stable, has now been launched.
Chrome 3 runs faster than previous versions with an overall speed increase on the java side going up more than 150% from the original version and up over 25% on Chrome 2. That’s a nice speed increase!
Since the original was launched about 1 year and 2 weeks ago there have been a total of 1 stable updates along with 3505 bug fixes. Other features of Chrome 3 include a cleaner new tab page layout which allows you to drag around your most visited sites.

Other updates also include the OmniBox upgrade which is the box that works as the address bar and a search bar in one.
Also you can now theme Chrome 3 to make it more customised. See image below. There are a number of other features included with this major update, so check them out over at Google. You can grab the latest version of Chrome at the Chrome site.
