I was recently looking for a USB to SATA adapter to connect up a drive to my laptop. I came across a couple of options with the first (linked above) being an whole enclosure while this other nifty adapter being very portable allowing connection to SATA to convert to USB.
Either of the options should work well for you if you are in need of reading a SATA disk without having to take your PC apart.
