Acer confirmed today that Windows 7 will be available pre-loaded on to the Z5600 PC starting 23 October this year. Originally the date had been set as January 2010.
The confirmation came from Acers UK MD (Bobby Watkins) while speaking with Pocket-Lint. Microsoft will be running a free upgrade programme which allows purchases of Vista to be upgraded to Windows 7 if purchased with in 30 days of the official release date.
Talking about their new all-in-one model, the Z5600 PC, specifically designed for Windows 7, the company revealed that the Asus Eee Top rival, will actually be shipping at the end of September to be in stores for people to “touch and feel”.
